Zaikio makes supplier relations easy for Swiss printers, starting with Antalis

After a successful start in Germany, Zaikio and Antalis are extending their cooperation to Switzerland. There too, customers can now place their orders directly from within their MIS, starting with sheet-fed offset papers and envelopes.

Zaikio Procurement is a modern purchasing tool for print shops. It simplifies the discovery of consumables requirements and their swift and efficient fulfilment. And now, Swiss printers too can use Zaikio Procurement to check availabilities and order at Antalis, even right from within their familiar Management Information System (MIS) interface.

Antalis started to make their consumables available via Zaikio Procurement in Germany in 2021, to great success. Now, the two companies are bringing their integration to Switzerland. This way, Swiss printers can also speed up availability checks and ordering with the leading distributor of Papers, Packaging and Visual Communication solutions. The first categories of Antalis consumables available via Zaikio Procurement are sheet-fed offset papers and envelopes.

By integrating with Zaikio Procurement, Antalis Switzerland enables existing and new customers to easily access customer-specific prices and up-to-date availability data.

Efficient replenishing made easy
Zaikio Procurement gives printers direct access to the product range of all participating suppliers. They can collect all materials they need and manage orders in a single clear interface. This also works right from within a growing number of Management Information Systems (MIS), so that MIS algorithms can directly use the actual prices of material requirements to calculate a given job. Zaikio Procurement is already available for a number of MIS commonly used in Switzerland, including datamedia RSK, uTraxx, HEIDELBERG Prinect Business Manager, Keyline and PrintPlus.

As the European market leader in wholesale paper, Antalis is an important partner for Zaikio. "We are proud of Antalis’ confidence in us that’s reflected by their intent to work with us in markets beyond Germany. This is an important step in our journey to bring all market participants worldwide onto one platform”, says Matthias Prinz, Managing Director at Zaikio.

Ahead of the market launch, Antalis Switzerland tested the connection to Zaikio Procurement extensively. One test customer even used Zaikio Procurement to order directly from within their MIS, in this case Datamedia RSK. "For us, Zaikio offers the perfect platform to make processes and collaboration in the printing industry more efficient. Our goal is to reduce transaction costs and cut administrative effort per job by half. With Zaikio, we see great potential for the future”, says an enthusiastic Thomas Freitag, managing director of the test customer Bubu AG. In Switzerland, products from Richter & Menzel and Stamagraf are also available via Zaikio Procurement, with Sprintis and filter4press becoming available soon, too.

"Antalis is the first company in Switzerland to offer its products via Zaikio Procurement. In doing so, we benefit from our experience in Germany. We are impressed by Zaikio Procurement, and we are convinced that this innovative solution will lead to sustainable process optimisations for our customers”, says Hugo Schoder, Sales Manager at Antalis.

The next steps
At the moment, Zaikio is hard at work on Mission Control, a comprehensive solution for standardised data exchange between the many different systems involved in print industry processes. At the same time, Zaikio is talking to software providers and machine manufacturers in order to connect with as many industry players as possible. Gradually, more apps will appear on Zaikio. You can always find the current status in the Zaikio App Store.
